Mary’s artistic journey began in the picturesque town of Cefalu, Sicily, where her mother’s family cultivated vibrant flowers. These blossoms, which often graced their home, became the muse for Mary’s exquisite artwork. Her father’s remarkable vegetable gardens in Chicago also played a pivotal role in shaping her creative vision.

With a background in advertising art, Mary has honed her skills over more than a decade, working with colored pencils and mixed media. Her distinctive style is firmly rooted in realism, capturing the intricate details of flora and fauna. Her dedication to this genre has earned her Signature Status with both the Colored Pencil Society of America and American Women Artists.

Mary’s talent extends beyond national borders. She has been recognized by the International Guild of Realism on multiple occasions and was a finalist in International Artist Magazine.
