Originally from Rhode Island, I’ve been living and working in Elysian Valley for ten years. I received my BFA from The University of Rhode Island in 2007 in studio arts, and in 2013 I graduated from Pratt Institute with an MFA in printmaking. In graduate school my work expanded into 3D, with my thesis being a life size installation of an apartment made of cardboard. Although I still dabble in printmaking and sculpture, my recent work is mostly acrylic painting. My notable shows include Kunsthalle Galapagos in Brooklyn, NY, Brea Gallery in Brea, California, Hera Gallery in Kingston, RI, and Gallery 52 in Los Angeles, CA. I received 2nd place at the Pasadena Art Walk in 2018.
I find myself inspired by the colorful landscape of my city and the surrounding mountains of southern California. My paintings are bright and whimsical. By emphasizing the beauty of the local surroundings, my work represents a celebration of home.
