My painting shows the harsh realities of life while simultaneously radiating an overarching comical idealism. The bouncy house, blue skies and lounge chairs evoke a sense of lightness and hopefulness while the prickly cactus and a tented house loom behind.  I’m examining the balance between pessimism and optimism.
