Suzanne Marcil

 
 

Suzanne Marcil was born in Utica, New York, grew up in the French section of Canada, moved to South Florida where she had her own accounting software consulting business.  When the time came to retire, her and her husband moved to North Florida where she was introduced to colored pencil and started spending more time with art.

Suzanne is a self-taught artist who loves to work with pastel and in 2007 took her first, and very important, colored pencil workshop.

Her work has been featured in quite a few exhibitions, ten of them being the Colored Pencil Society of America International Exhibition and in 2015 received an Award of Excellence for her work “My Sister’s Crystal”, in 2023 she received an Award of Distinction for “Glass Menagerie”.  Suzanne is a signature and ten-year Merit Award member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.  She is a member of CPSA District Chapter 113 and presently serves as the treasurer.

Her artwork was chosen to appear and published in the CP Treasures Volume IV: Colored Pencil Masterworks from around the Globe.

Suzanne is also a member of the Live Oak Artists Guild where she serves as treasurer.  She also has been the director of the annual “Autumn Artfest” fine art exhibition for multiple years.
