My artistic purpose is to create interpretive scenes by using color contrast and symbolism, often including a centralized figure to join the viewer in reflection. A one of one, entirely original being. The origins of said creatures are unknown. While they do have some recognizable earthly features, it's fair to assume they are not of this world. And yet, they experience emotions similar to our own. This painting, in particular, depicts the reaction of a towering slender figure emotionally melted by what's in his hand. The intention is to evoke balanced emotions of both nostalgia and new adventure. To mentally transport viewers to another world, without forgetting where they came from.
