The Brea Gallery has a Spotify account and we love listening to it!

Music and the visual arts are so similar and there are many ways in which they compliment each other. Here in the Gallery we play music while we hang artwork, as well as days we do desk work. We created a Spotify account in order to share these days with our followers and friends!

We have a playlists that we crank up while we hang artwork, Gallery Manager Ari Foster’s Installation Go-To list. Turn it up the next time you have a project around the house you need a soundtrack for.

One of our Gallery interns created this playlist based on her experience of walking through our 2019 Made in California exhibition. She was inspired by the artwork and created a playlist for it! Take a look, it is a dreamy, hazy walk through the exhibition.

Gallery Director, Heather Bowling, has used the Gallery Spotify account to create playlists to supplement her work and vision of the exhibitions she curates. This is such a fun and unique way to get an inside her process. These playlists give our followers a sense of what to expect with a show or can even serve as a companion aspect if you like to stream the music through your headphones as you wander around.
