Drawn to Paper Opening Reception
The Brea Gallery was excited to host its first opening reception since the 2020 pandemic shutdown, on October 9th, 2021 for Drawn to Paper: Fresh Perspectives in Mixed Media. With approximately 150 visitors attending, people were enthusiastic to celebrate the artists and the premiere of the exhibit with light snacks and beverages.
This exhibit has an interactive space that encourages visitors to be inspired and then create their own work of art, to be added to the Gallery wall. There is also a Print Shop wall, showcasing a selection of original and reproduction prints from some of the artists featured in Drawn to Paper. This is a great opportunity to take a piece of the exhibit home if youβre looking to find something a bit more affordable and get started on a new art collection!
On opening night, visitors enjoyed a discount in the Gift Shop and a few pieces of artwork, out of the 72 original works on display, were sold! In addition, several of the Cultural Arts Commissioners were in attendance to show their support of the Gallery and the event.
This exhibition is on display until December 10th, 2021. Stop in to see these incredible works, make some art, and shop to support local artists.
Wednesday through Sunday noon to 5pm.
About Drawn to Paper: Fresh Perspectives in Mixed Media
This exciting new show invites artists back into our space to share original work to fill the space with fresh, new mixed media works on paper. Although the featured artwork can be made with any mediums, the artists were challenged to follow only one rule: create something on a single piece of paper and leave it unframed.

The Gallery has resumed normal business hours, Wednesday through Sunday noon to 5pm now through December 10, 2021.
