37th Annual Made in California
On view from April 30th through June 24th, 2022, this yearly juried exhibit showcased artwork from all over the state of California. MICA strives to highlight artists in all stages of their careers and offers them a chance to compete for a number of awards, including the coveted solo show opportunity. This regional show features artwork from an extensive variety of mediums and explores creative movements happening in California.

The Brea Gallery is honored to present Carros Alterados y Rines Cromados, a poignant series by Aaron Moctezuma of photographs and ephemera that provide a glimpse into the proud, vibrant lifestyle of Southern California “kustom” culture. Surrounded by lowriders from an early age in Santa Ana, Aaron naturally turned his lens toward documenting this slice of Latin American identity, soulfully capturing both the vehicles and their owners.
