30 til Curtain
Introducing a brand new arts experience here at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center!
The Brea Gallery, in collaboration with the Curtis Theatre, will launch a brand new arts experience for visitors to the Brea Civic and Cultural Center.
30 til Curtain offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the Brea Gallery, an opportunity specifically for patrons of the Curtis Theatre. On select dates of Curtis Theatre shows, theater-goers have the option to add on a private art exhibit tour right before the live performance they will be attending. Tickets
Upon entering the Gallery, participants are handed a glass of wine and are greeted by Gallery Director, Heather Bowling. Ms. Bowling will then lead the private group on an after-hours tour of the current exhibition, sharing professional, insider knowledge into the exhibition, the artwork, the curatorial process, and more. The tour will end at 7:30pm, giving participants a chance to use their 10% off discount in the Gallery Gift Shop before they head across the Plaza just in time to find their seats for the 8pm performance at the Theatre.
This joint effort between the Brea Gallery and the Curtis Theatre aims to create a one-of-a-kind arts experience for visitors to the Brea Civic and Cultural Center. Curtis Theatre Manager Kris Kataoka is thrilled to be able to provide ticketholders with an additional fun offering on performance evenings. Brea Gallery Director, Heather Bowling says of the new collaboration, “We’ve always wanted to extend an invitation to theatre goers, and we feel that this program allows us to do that in a really special way.”
Behind-the-scenes, pre-performance Gallery tours, 30 til Curtain, will officially launch October 26th, 2019, in tandem with the Curtis Theatre’s production of War of the Worlds November 30th, 2019, in tandem with the Christmas with the Alley Cats at the Curtis Theatre. The $10 ticket price for the tour (on top of the ticket for the show) gets patrons an intimate after-hours tour with the Gallery Director, a complimentary glass of wine, and a special discount in the Gift Shop – all before the show even starts – making this the perfect way to spend a truly special evening with the arts.
