Made in California Submissions

Every year, at the Brea Gallery, we present a completely unique and new exhibit featuring submitted artwork from around the state of California.

Our 2020 Made in California Juried Exhibition will be the 35th year of this exhibit and we couldn’t be more excited, as each iteration gets better and better.

Every year we are excited to present an exhibition that showcases the best of our region and all over the state. Any artist, in any stage of their career, in the state of California, is encouraged to submit to be a part of this great show! This is what people had to say about 2019’s Made in California.

Are there prizes? There sure are!

First Place: $750, Second Place: $500, Third Place: $250, Solo Show Award: $350, Popular Choice Award: $100, Director’s Choice: $200, Mayor’s Favorite: $100. Honorable mentions, purchase awards, and additional prizes to be announced.

Also, there's a chance to be selected for the Solo Show. It's an opportunity for one artist to exhibit a body of their work in a small room of the gallery, separate from the rest of the juried exhibition. This honor is bestowed on one artist who submits a successful, cohesive body of work. This mini exhibit, will have it’s own title and a separate show announcement post card designed for them!

Previous solo show winners:

Digital Landscapes by Carlos Beltran Arechiga (2017), Minimal Hardscapes of Southern California by Rachelle Mendez (2018), Thoughts of Phthalo Blue by Zara Monet Feeney (2019).
