Artist Talk with UCLA's Institute of Environment and Sustainability
As part of Nature vs Nurture, the Brea Gallery hosted an Artist Talk featuring scientists from UCLA's Institute of Environment and Sustainability. Four exhibiting artists from exhibition; Luciana Abait, Natasha Rudenko, Stacie Jaye Meyer, and Andre Woodward join guest scientist and UCLA professor Karen McKinnon. Director Heather Bowling moderated the conversation for the artists talk about their work and important the intersection of art and science as it relates to humanity's relationship with nature.

About the exhibit, Nature vs Nurture:
A small group of artists are invited to meditate on the beauty of the natural world, and humanityβs impact on the planet. Exploring themes ranging from the harmonious relationships humans have with nature to the disastrous effects of global warming and pollution. This charged and evolving dialog between the assembled exhibiting artists gives us new perspectives on the world around us, hopefully guiding visitors to look more closely at their relationship with our planet.
